Student Support Campaign 2019

As part of the Student Support Campaign by YESTE, school kits were distributed among the differently abled students of Unarvu and children of paraplegic members of Santhwanam. 9 mothers of differently abled students formed the organization named Unarvu Assisted Living Day Care and Home Charitable Trust in Cherpulassery of Palakkad district. Unarvu is now taking care of 28 such kids at their center during day time. Students aged from 9 to 29 are being supported for education and self employment. The students will be involved in the day to day activities including cooking. Paper bag making, dance, music, keyboard, computer etc will be taught at Unarvu.

Santhwanam is a community of paraplegic members in Perinthalmanna, Malappuram district. They make umbrellas, bath soap, washing soap, lotions, seed pens etc and earn for the living. Still they find it difficult to meet all the expenses. So, YESTE supported the students of Unarvu and the children of members of Santhwanam with school kits.

In the second leg of the campaign, School Kits including notebooks and school bags were distributed among 49 financially unsound students of Calvary Mount High School, Idukki.
